Ready for Impact

Get Ready for Impact

Most athletes think concussions are just part of contact sports — but that’s changing. Research shows there’s a proactive way to reduce your risk of concussion and, by doing so, lower your chances of a non-contact lower body injury.

Your neck plays a major role in how your body absorbs and responds to impact. Strong, engaged neck muscles help stabilize your head during collisions, reducing the forces that reach your brain — and the downstream effects that can alter coordination, balance, and reaction time.

The “Ready for Impact” program is designed to make that protection simple and accessible:

  • No equipment needed

  • 3 minutes a day

  • 3 weeks to complete

You can repeat the program throughout the season or use your favorite go-to exercises before practices and games to keep your neck muscles engaged and your body ready for contact.

Contact Sport Athletes

Concussion Prevention

Neck strength is the only modifiable risk factor for sustaining a concussion in sports. We provide an accessible program for isolating the muscles responsible for stabilizing the head on the neck then progress to large, functional body movements.

Lower Body Injury Prevention

The coordination of the muscles and nerves at the top of the neck that enter the brain are most susceptible to dysfunction with repetitive head impacts sustained during competitive play in contact sports. This area of the body requires regular assessment and refinement throughout the course of a competitive sport season to decrease the risk of lower body injuries.

“This assessment and programming has been revolutionary in keeping athletes on the field.”
